Welcome to our new weblog, I Had a Bad Idea, where we will be discussing user experience, design, and poorly executed ideas. We’ve received tips, insight, techniques, inspiration, and much needed humor from a number of well-written blogs and now we hope to contribute a little back. As you may have noticed, I Had a Bad Idea is tied into our new company website, Jet A Studio, where you may learn a little more about us and what we do.
A note on how we hope to approach discussion about bad ideas: Our goal is to provide genuine critique. We are interested in where good ideas, or at least important ones, go wrong. How do they fall short? Is it poor execution, under funding, a lack of foresight, lousy management, evil mastermind? … While we may poke fun at times, our insights and comments will be respectful, and we ask the same from you. The point isn’t to relish in someone else’s mistakes, failures, or shortcomings - but to learn from them. Any article we write is simply our argument, an opening dialogue, and we hope you add your thoughts, opinions, judgements, dissents… we’re looking forward to hearing your expert perspective.
